Pre-Order Terms

These Terms are valid for orders placed on or after 14 March 2018 and supersede all previous terms published on Our Website.

Summary of Pre-Order Terms

1. Please read these Pre-Order Terms before you complete a Pre-Order Form expressing your interest in receiving fibre broadband services in your village, as they will take effect from the date on which we accept your Pre-Order Form.

2. The Pre-Order Terms apply from the date on which we accept your Pre-Order Form. They form the basis of our conditional Agreement with you from that date.

3. Our Agreement with you is conditional on CBL:

  • meeting the Condition Precedent. This is a target that we have set to determine whether there is sufficient interest for fibre broadband services in your village; and
  • confirming to you, by a specific date known as the Long Stop Date, that it is able to carry out the Works. The Long Stop Date is normally 12 months from the date of your Agreement with us, but we can extend it by up to 6 months.

4. From the date of our Agreement with you until the Long Stop Date, known as the Exclusivity Period, you agree not to enter into a similar Conditional Agreement for a Fibre to the Premise service or a new contract for a Fibre to the Home Service with a third party provider.

5. On or before the Long Stop Date, we will notify you of our decision, which will be one of the following:

  • If we cannot build a fibre network in your village, the Exclusivity Period will end. This means that you will be able to take similar services from a third party.
  • If we can build a fibre network in your village, we will let you know. This is not a commitment to provide your property with a connection: it is simply confirmation that we are able to carry out the necessary works in your village.
  • If we can build a fibre network in your village, but for some reason, we cannot provide you with a fibre connection, but a wireless service is available, we will offer this to you. You will not be obliged to take this service.

6. After the Long Stop Date and regardless of the decision we have notified to you under paragraph 5, these Pre-Order Terms will come to an end. If we have confirmed to you that we can build the fibre network in your village, the Service Terms will apply.
